What does Selective Design specialize in?

Selective Design specializes in thoughtful, personalized memorial and funeral design, including funeral programs, memorial booklets, announcements, slideshows, keepsakes, posters, and other commemorative pieces. While memorial design is currently a primary focus, I’m also open to other creative design projects.

 

Does Selective Design provide printing?

No. Selective Design provides design services only. Printing, production, shipping, and physical fulfillment are not included. Final designs are provided digitally so you can print through the vendor of your choice.

 

How do I get started?

Start by completing the **Design Request Form** with your project details, desired services, deadline, and other relevant information. Once I receive your information, I’ll review your request and follow up with next steps.

 

What do I need to provide?

Depending on your project, you may need to provide photographs, names, dates, obituary or tribute text, service information, poems, scriptures, acknowledgments, and any other content you'd like included. Please submit final, accurate information whenever possible.

 

Can you write the obituary or other content for me?

Selective Design is primarily a design service. Clients are responsible for providing the written content they would like included in their designs. If you need writing or editing assistance, please inquire about availability.

 

How many photographs can I submit?

Each service and package has its own photograph limit. You can add additional photographs for an additional fee. Please provide your best-quality images whenever possible.

 

Can you improve old or low-quality photographs?

I can make reasonable adjustments when possible, but the original image quality will affect the final result. Extensive restoration, reconstruction, or significant photo editing may require an additional fee or may not be possible.

 

How quickly can you complete my design?

Turnaround depends on the project, the amount of content, and my current schedule. Your turnaround time begins once I receive all required materials. If you have a specific funeral or memorial service date, please provide it when submitting your request.

 

Do you offer rush services?

Rush requests may be available depending on my schedule. Additional fees may apply. Please contact me as soon as possible if you have a short deadline.

 

How many revisions are included?

Revision allowances depend on the service or package selected. Revisions are intended for reasonable adjustments to the initial design. Substantial changes, additional revisions, or changes made after final approval may incur additional fees.

 

Who should communicate with Selective Design?

I recommend designating one family member or representative to communicate with me throughout the entire process, including providing final approval. This helps keep the process organized and prevents conflicting instructions or multiple versions of requested changes.

 

What happens after I approve my design?

Once you approve the design, we'll prepare and deliver the final digital file according to your service specifications. Please review all names, dates, photographs, and other information carefully before providing final approval.

 

Can I use my own printer or printing company?

Absolutely. You can take your final design to the printer or print vendor you choose. Selective Design does not manage or guarantee third-party printers' services, pricing, turnaround, or quality.

 

Can you send my design directly to a funeral home or printer?

This may be possible depending on the project and file requirements. Please provide the appropriate contact and file specifications when submitting your request.

 

What is a QR Code link?

You can incorporate a QR code into your design to direct guests to a designated digital memorial, program, or other online destination. Availability and functionality may depend on the third-party platform or destination being used.

 

Can I order only one design item?

Yes. You do not have to purchase a package. Selective Design offers individual services à la carte, allowing you to select only the designs you need.

 

Can I request something that isn't listed?

Yes. The services listed on the website represent some of the most common offerings, but they are not necessarily the limit of what I can design. If you have a specific idea or need, feel free to inquire.

 

Do you offer design services for projects other than memorials?
